The pedals on my X Reg Peugeot 306 are sticking, and tough to push. How can I fix this?

Get rid of it - it has seen much better days.

take it to a garage,
if the clutch pedal is sticking the clutch slave may need bleeding

l would first Try using graphite on the petal shafts. if this fails then l would not,t be able to say as l am unfamiliar with Peugeot autos. many times this problem is due to the petalshaft rubbing against the floorboard

If you have a hydraulic clutch and brakes, they may both be vacuum assisted. If they both are vacuum assisted and both got hard to push around the same time, you could have a vacuum leak.
If they only are hard to push down, l would take it to a shop for a once-over. If it is both ways, then it is probably just in need of lubrication at the pedals.

If its more that one pedal sticking, you will need to replace the complete pedal box...... sorry.

Before spending your hard earned cash, spray well with WD40, its good medicine for all sort of car problems.

get it serviced by a garage, could be the cables need greasing, or replacing, if you don't, you will find that they can seize up and you will be stuck with no means of getting going again.

take them out , rub l cant beleive its not butter on the bottoms and put them back in.
just watch the difference

it depends on which pedals your talking about if its the throttle it will be the cable cause they're prone to cutting through the outter cable and breaking up hence sticking,if you ment the brake pedal it could be lack of fluid in the reservoir or a faulty master cylinder,if its the clutch pedal it most certainly a loss in hydraulic pressure which will be the master cylinder or the clutch slave cylinder,if its cable just replace the cable

Pedals - about right for a Peugeot. My car has an engine.

Oil spray on the linkiges of the pedals. WD40 is great for the job.
