l live in the states, where there are no Peugeots, unfortunatly, but l would have to guess the 406 is better.

For long trips or family car you should have a 406.
For a smaller but more agile car, pick a 206.

But if you accept a good advice: never get a french car !!!
At the first 60.000 km service, you will know why . Peugeots lead the failure statistics and as all french cars, they EAT suspension parts.

Peugeot 206 is almost gone, wait because the 207 is already in production,
The 407 model star selling almost 2 years ago, do not look back to the 406.
French cars are great, sadly in cowboy land, everybody prefer Trucks.

go for the 406!If you are from europe then check the peugeot 605 is a little bit older than the 406 but it is bigger and you will get a lot of car for your money. l am from Argentina and own a peugeot 605 sv 3.0 WHAT A CAR! l laugh when l read the posts from americans they think american cars are better than french.The only thing l know is that peugeots are sold worldwide.American cars are sold only in the USA.
