DEPENDS WHAT YOU WANT IT FOR , THEY ARE A SMALL CAR SO OK FOR SHOPPING ETC....QUITE ECONOMICAL CHEAPISH TO RUN AND MAINTAIN.

My partner sells peugeots and l have driven most of them. l think the small peugeots ie, 206, 207 are not that special. The bigger cars like 307sw and 407, now they are nice cars!!!

very unreliable and things go wrong too often,it will spend a lot of time in the dealers being repaired.build quality is very very poor.

yes, it is pretty good. smooth ride, good steering, plenty of legroom.
i do not own one, just ride it a couple of times. 206 owners certainly know also about the bad aspects, but in my opinion you wo not regret buying one.

l have a Peugeot 206sw and have now owned it for 1 year

So far so good, nice to drive, reasonably economical but the biggest downside is the lack of room for passengers in the back, it is definately a bit tight on leg room in the back if the driver or front seat passenger is of average height

Not a bad car though

NO. l had one and it was the most unreliable car I've ever owned. In the end l spent about £4,000 keeping it on the road in one year. l had to be rescued by the AA twice.

No forget about getting a peugeot and buy yourself a Focus.

No. Looks good, has a really clever idea for the rear parcel shelf (for the engineers out there), but other than that has nothing much going for it.
Does poorly in satisfaction & reliability surveys.
Poor driving position in right-hand-drive (and not great in left-hand-drive either).
Handling & ride r middle-of-the class.
Interior materials do not look high quality.

You'd be far better off with a Honda Jazz, Skoda Fabia, new Suzuki Swift, Nissan Micra or Ford Fiesta.

Of course this really depends on a huge variety of things, in particular what makes a good car to you?

Try ! Cars, they have a huge selection of reviews on the 206 & all other details you'd need to review as well.

Here is the link to the summary of reviews:
http://uk.search.cars..com/bin/search/cars_news_uk/search/?p2=peugeot+206&p=title%3A%7Bpeugeot+206%7D

This shows all the 206 versions available, just pick the one u want & it will show u all the technical specifications for the car as well:
http://cars..co.uk/browse_100354123/Used_Cars,Peugeot,Peugeot|206,Hatchback

Good luck!

l have not owned one, however, l have driven one & l have owned several Peugeots.

It seemed ok, but nothing more than that. The one thing that really stuck out was the pedals were really close together. The dealer service is not brilliant too. They're only interested if u r buying a car. The moment u return with a problem they wo not give u the time of day.

As others have mentioned on here, the reliability of a Peugeot is debatable & I've yet to meet anyone that is NOT had any issues.

l think they have stopped making them now (or plan too) so u may want to consider this, especially if u r being from new as it will depreciate a lot. l paid £10,000 for a nearly new 306 (with only 4k on the clock a few years back) & then Peugeot announced they'd stop making them - within less than two years it was worth under £4000.

the 206 is a VERY good and reliable car. i've lived in Germany and l owned the convertible version of the 206.. (206cc). It is smooth to drive plus it is somewhat sporty and quick. Had very few problems with it but it is also VERY tiny. l do not know about the regular 206 in the 206cc, the rear seats couldnt really be counted as ''seats'' since you could only fit a 5- year old in the back.
