A local garage should offer a free wheel alignment check, and only charge if anything is wrong.

Wheel alignment should only be carried out useing the correct equipment, as they check for all degrees of change, ie, camber, castor, toe-in and toe-out.

It depend on where you alignment is at the moment, with a a common telescopic alignment equipment you can find out where you wheel are. but just loosing or tightneing the tie rod adjustment nut wont even help u and you might end up with a worn tire and all the nightmare associated with Alkermann Linkages.
