l agree! What do u actually mean by ''Earth Points''?
Do u mean points of negative grounding to the car body?

l have repair books on the 306 in English, Dutch & French. Nobody calls anything earth points. There r grounds, groundings, earth, .all references to the 12 volt negative ground to the chassis..

and there r dozens of these, never underneath the car. This would make the connection suseptable to rainwater & corrosion.

Please be more specific, & we will answer u correctly.

earth points are points of electrical contact, usually with the metal body of the car..l suspect you mean under the bonnet.well easy.identify your battery there will be two leads red and black..follow each to see which connect to the body..that is one earth point.

Normally the earth or grounding points are at the back of the engine and bolt over the firewall via a metal strap. Failing that if you think that you need to install a new one, because you think the old one is loose or damaged, just clean the area up and use a decent bit wire to join the block to the body of the car.

Why are people moaning cause you called it an earth point?? The wires in plugs in the house are not called ground wires are they!!!

There are many earth points on your car, the main cable from the battery will be attached to the gearbox and passenger side inner wing but there are many others dotted around the whole car. You'd be best off with a Haynes manual or similar to locate them.
