owned my peugeot 306 sxi 4 1 year now, tracking keeps going wrong, wondering if its been in a serious smash??

l would have someone check the rack and pinon steering unit for correct alignment.

Check the front lower arms rear bushes as they can fail and give excessive play which looks like a tracking fault when it wears the tyres.

get the lower (p) bushes checked
was it a boy racer who had the acr before you as l have seen 3 bottom arms SNAPPED but still in place

It may need a wheel alignment & it will come as good as new. Cause if u have the bushes or the balljoint that needs to be replaced u will have loads of noise, like when u hit two metals with each other.

So if u do not hear noises then u only need wheel alignment. And btw just to keep ur mind at rest, if u only need alignment, the alignmet can be lost if u hit the tyre with the pedestrian pavement or a hump with a bit of speed. It can be lost also when u change the CV Joint bellow.
