l would not know, they do not sell them in the U.S. anymore, you have to go to this one dealership in Jersey and import them if you really want one. however the few l have seen look really nice.

In my opinion, that is true. Many others share that opinion also.

In Peugeot is defense, it is much more difficult to own a car in a country where there r very few of that brand. It makes it hard to find people who can work on them & to find parts.

France & Italy have some very good exports. Automobiles r not included in that list. There r some arguments to be made for those in the over $250,000 USD class, but even that is subject to debate.

l hate to say it, but Japan seems to have the lion is share of well built automobiles at this point. Actually, that has been true for several years. The main difference is their attitude.

Nah. they're jealous because Peugeot r so much cheaper than other cars. They're fine & reliable.
But.. my advice is that if ur mind was set on buying a 207, l recommend u get a new Renault Clio instead. They have the same price, but the Clio is better.
As for other models. my favorite is 407 Paladine. nice design, good horsepower, good looking interior. Not to mention the 607, which is a limo in it is own right.
You should try to get ur hands on one for a test drive. That way, u will know for sure if u really want one. But u will.. they're fun to drive.

Peugeot like EVERY car make have its good & bad points. If ur looking at getting a Peugeot talk to people who have them as daily drivers & ignore those whose only experience comes from talking to someone who knows someone that lives next door to a Peugeot owner.
My personal experience with Peugeot (Pugs) is 2 206 hatches & l love them, great daily drivers, look fantastic, extremely zippy especially the RC & most importantly every second car u see is not a Pug. So the wow factor is still there.
Yes they have had some niggles but a bit of research on the net or a quick call to a service centre & everything has been rectified.
The camaraderie French Car drivers share esp here in OZ is amazing. We all own what we think is the best marque there is & r happy to share our knowledge, loves/hates & all of our many experiences (yes good & bad) with those who r looking at getting into a Peugeot or even one of the other French Car brands.
There r many web forums out there that cater to Peugeots/Renaults/Citroens but the most informative l think would be Aussiefrogs.
