Unless you live in France, one should NEVER drive a French car.Put enough fuel in it to get to the nearest cliff,push it over and go buy something good. l suggest a Toyota, preferably a Tacoma p/up. They're unbeatable.

Most cars are based on a 60 ltr tank. Some have less capacity and some have more. Larger vans now come with 80 ltr tanks (06 Vivaro) and Smaller 4x4 is with 40 ltr tanks (06 Mits'i Shogun Pinin). Most normal cars have a 60 ltr capacity in the UK market.

My 405 station wagon has a guage that says 80 liters on the dash. l have never let it go empty to tell u if that is accurate. My car is a 1989 model. l have other SMALL peugeots that easily take 50 liters (the 205 model). There have been some fill-ups that took 48 liters to fill the tank.. so l believe that 80 is possible on the bigger 405.
Come to Belgium where gasoline = petrol is $6.40 US dollars per US gallon.
PAY NO ATTENTION to the ''thumbs down'' ratings. Everyone who gave u an honest answer, even owners of this car, got a bad rating. Only those 2 people who choose to insult ALL peugeot questions have escaped this. Do not u just love this game??

its a 70 litre tank and the fuel light should come on when there is approx 11 litres of fuel left
