Peugeot 206 cabriolet, convertable allure, any views or comments good or bad, thinking of buying one thanks.

Very nice to drive but not good if you have loads of friends backseat is crap, why do not you get a 207! tell me what you get good luck!

Get a 207 not a 206.

As with all small convertibles, the back seat is a real issue, in the manner that in the 206CC, the front seats actually touch the rear bench, fine if only plan on carrying amputees...

To me it always brings rise to the question of why u do not just buy a 2 seater like an MX-5, MGF or MR2. They're no less practical & heaps more fun to own & drive & cost near as dammit the same money.

That said, there is a lot to be said for this whole hard top convertible thing, the security is one, & when the hood is up it is as quiet as a tin top car. They also do not have a habit of going round corners arse first like the sports cars do.

As with all peugeots, make sure it is got a proper service history & it is been looked after, as french cars do not reward sloppy maintanence,.

l work for peugeot and there are a few things that you should know about the 206 cc
very very bad for water ingress
we have 4 in the workshop right now for leaking
peugeot just say fill every thing with black sealer
i would not advise getting one

the 206 is a nice car , but u can do better. parts are exspesive,the hood is easely damaged,the running costs are high.ur better off with a ford escort soft top, cheeper alround,and parts are two a penny.
