how do l fit an x race RX1047CH universal air filter to my 106 1.1 independence or can it fit cos there some sort of sensor or somethin going in the original air filter and it has nowhere to go

The sensor should have no effect on the new air filter. If l am right, the sensor is linked to the ecu to maintain the correct air intake. With the new filter this is not needed as you want maximum induction to the engine all the time. ( l assume you want more power) This can have a negative effect on the consumption of fuel, use a higher grade fuel (97 ron) and you may see improved economy.
