Do you think it's a good idea to add short springs in my 206

Hi everyone..I've bought my 206 (1.4XT) 2years ago and am planning to tune her. Before buying a set of rims l wanted to lower the suspension by adding short springs. 30mm one..(rite now it’s like a 4x4) but am wondering if it will affect my driving..as some of my friends told me that it is not a good shock absorber compared to the stock one.
Thanks..

You will not have much problems with the steering. BUT, when u come to a traffic bump, or a speed bump, or whatever u call them in the UK. You will have to slow down to about 10 miles/hour to save hitting ur oil pan & breaking the lower plastic body air dam.

When u go in reverse, over the curb, or onto the street from a higher driveway, try to take it on an angle, instead of pulling straight out onto the street. Save the scratches & scraping of the lower plastic body parts.

Good luck, a lower car will diffuse more air, & u get better petrol use to the mile.
Lots of people have been lowering their cars FOR DECADES!! It all started with the Chicanos in the US Southwest. There r lots of aftermarket shocks, A-arms to do this. Tune / Customize & be happy! Go for it.

Do not lower the car, and l strongly advise you NOT to modify anything related to suspension or roadhandling will become really tricky.
