Can anyone tell me what common problems do Peugeot 106 GTI's have

Check the steering rack. Peugeot 106 is are famous for them.

It is a Peugeot. The problems begin at the front bumper, and stop at the rear.

l had a 106 GTi. Best car l ever had. Only problems l experienced was a lambda sensor (Oxygen sensor) fault and an auxiliary belt that snapped. But, be warned. The vast majority of GTi’s will have been thrashed by chavy boy racers. Look for a good, one or two-owner example that hasn’t had any modifications done to it, and then shell out for an AA inspection.

Theft

Rotten build quality, clown college engineering, electrical demons that render the vehicle inopperative at the worst possible times, zero resale value, slow, rustbucket, etc., etc..

l work for peugeot and the only thing you realy got to look at is the head gasket
you cant skim the head on it
trust me hats the only thing

-Head gasket
-oil leaks
-the engine being to f'ing big for the engine bay and over heating
-Airbag sensor warning light
-Sunroof leak
-lambard/lumbre/lunpolly Sensor went wrong

Fantastic car though
In the end the engine was rebuilt and it was sold
