hi,my husband is going to look at a parked car somewhere, to see how the towbar fits. then we need to sort the electrics out as there is none on the towbar,but l need to sort the car electrics first.

You can buy the electrical hook-ups at a car parts store. It will come with maybe 5 feet of wire, but u will need MORE. And u can buy little wire connectors that squeeze onto the existing taillight wires. When u squeeze, a little sharp metal point penetrates the plastic insulation, & makes an electrical connection.

Follow the directions, because each of the 7 pins in the male / female towbar connector corresponds to a different lamp.
l recommend grounding the brown wire very well on both interior sides of the car is tailight compartment.
