Does anyone known the interval to change the timing belt ? l have read the 2.0 hdi is 90,000 but recommended at 70,000. Is this the same for the 1.4 HDl ? Thanks Mark

if your car has dine that many miles you better get it changed but make sure you get the tensioners replaced has well has it could go at any time if it has never been replaced if you dont you will end up with a very big bill has you will damage your engine so ge tit changed straight way hope this helps

Always play safe with timing belts and change at 5 years or 40,000 - 50,000 miles - never take a chance. If you do not know when it was last changed - do it anyway.

all vehicles have the same recommended interval. from cars to medium vans. just make sure you use the best quality belt you can buy, some are just not as good. your engine is dependant on this. l change mine every 90.000 Kms,on my Ford Transit. along with the water-pump which sits along side the belt, just make sure there are no leaks of coolant or oil near the belt since that can brake the belt early in it is life

My 1.4 hdi just clocked 46500. It will be changed at 50000 even though it can go to 70000+. Cost is under £100 as opposed to a new engine if it goes.

I'd say that it is arout 80,000 mark. l have a 306 and thats when l changed mine and its perfectly fine. as long as you change it between 60,000 and 90,000 l think it will be fine
