My peugeot 106 has started making a splutering noise like it is stalling or missfiring today just wondering if anyone has any idea what it could be
It has been terrible weather today absolutely throwing it down and have been driving through a few big puddles could that be it? That it is because of the water?
Please l really need some help

probably the water.or cos it is french.so scrap it anyway

As it is French, there is probably a baguette in the engine.

Yeah a bit of moisture has got into the distributor, once it dries out it should be fine. If the problem persists get the sparkplugs, points, distributor cap changed (probably about a tenner in total for the parts). If that does not sort it try the HT leads (they go between the coil to distributor and then onto the spark plugs).

Try the spark plugs. Maybe wet

You may have got water into the air intake.
have a look at your air filter and look for any signs of water.
Try spraying WD40 into all the electrical sockets around the engine.

try changing the spark plugs cost about £4.00 each mine done the same this worked
