if it is the original engine then it should bo on the vin {vehical identification plate} plate if not your best to speak to a peugeot garge dealer

the number is stamped on the engine block and can be very difficult to find and read, much easier is to have a look at your owners document (log book) as its printed on there.

as you look at the engine slightly to the right of the manifold heat shield on the engine block facing front about 2 to 3 inch down from the top, you will need to clean this area to see also gear box number on under side of gear box etched in block
