Search for the best Quality/Cost ratio

All depends on what you want to use the car for.

High speed motorway driving get a good branded make, Michelin, Dunlop etc.

Just for pottering around town get budget tires.

In the long run the better the tire the longer it will last it just depends on your available cash.

All Tyre is need to conform to the speed rating on them so are perfectly safe whatever you buy.
DO NOT BUY USED TYRES THEY CAN BE LETHAL

when l had my 307 l used Michelin tires, this is also the brand that is fitted by the factory. l would not use budget tires, not een when l only drive around in the city. Whenever the roads are wet or slippery your car will have a much better braking performance with good tires on it. Oh yes, and do not do not buy used tires.

Any tire that will make your Peugeot easier to push..

Michelin is the one that is recommended from Peugeot,all peugeot cars come factory fitted with Michelin.
However there are many other good brand names to look for, l would recommend toyo or yokohama as a top ones and very good in wet conditions.
Just avoid Nankang or Kumho,they are very very bad.
