Hi, can anyone give me advice with regard to routing a permanent ''live'' feed, directly from the battery, to the 7 pin socket on the rear of my peugeot 406 estate [jan2004 model]
Ca not seem to find a hole in the bulkhead and i'm not happy drilling one!
Secondly, the conections to lights/indicators etc - is this a ''multiplexed'' system or can l tap directly into the lighting loom behind the rear light cluster or is there an adapter that plugs in saomehere?
thanks in advance
Andy

buy some three way lectrical splicers ones you can fit plug pins into need hot and ground for each light that you need brakes and turn signals and driving lights if your going to tow at night

Andy andy andy. You really need some help with that 406.
As l said before, if u want to draw 35 amperes for a caravan cooker, heater, television, bread toaster, coffee maker, those little 12 volt wires r too thin. You need 10 guage wire (4 mm squared).

You can find the 7 types of electrical connections u need inside the tailight bulbs at the rear of the car. Can u see how to change a taillight bulb? Yes, of course. Now just tap into those same wires for ur caravan/ towbar/ trailer hitch (American word).

7 lines u need r Brakes, left turn, rt turn, driving lights, fog, reverse, GROUND. You do NOT need hot & ground for EACH light as BOOB suggested above.

There r special connectors u can buy that just SQUEEEZE onto an existing wire, & add ur new wire.
You must follow the standard wiring for the male/female towbar connector. That way, u can tow any caravan in England.
