I've only one for three days and someone has removed the lock cylinder from the passenger door.
Someone told they are easy to break into, is it true? l might have to get a steering wheel lock if that is the case...

yes they are easy to steal. but steering wheel locks dont work, theifs have a tool that snaps the wheel lock like a toothpick, the best way to keep some one from steeling your car is to get a removable steering wheel device like this - http://grantproducts.com/c-107-vehicle-security.aspx

Do you have an alarm fitted? An immobiliser light will deter more than a steering wheel lock - most people who can break into a car can break these aswell.
They must be durable to a certain extent, otherwise the potential thief would have got further than just removing the lock - either that or he did not know what he was doing.

any and every car is easy to pinch.depends on how much the thief wants it.the 206 is imobilised making it a lot harder to drive away,as they need the key[transponder in side it]..

most pugs are easy to get into especially if the door lock is missing, is the door skin damaged where the lock has been removed if so get it repaired and buy a new lock from peugeot you can get one made up from the chassis number and or the number on the key its self

Im not sure about all of the 206 is but a higher spec one shouldnt be easy to get into. l have the 206 DTurbo which has an alarm, immobiliser and deadlocks. If you leave the window open the alarm will go off as soon as you put your hand in the car and with the dead locks on you cannot open the door at all without butchering it, not even from the inside. So if you have the deadlocks l would say, no, its not that easy to break into. However, l dont think all models have deadlocks

Bit of a stupid statement, 206 is r easy to break into, all 206s have immobilisers, higher spec 206 is come with alarms & some have the deadlocks (i would love this on mine). So know there not easy to break into, l suppose u could break the window & climb in but whats the point in that? If ur worried about someone stealing the car Id recommend a Disklok Full Cover Anti-Theft Steering Wheel Device, £70 in argos,
Voted strongest & best device by all leading motoring magazines.

Auto Express winner 1996/1997/2001/2002/2003/2004.

Revs magazine 'Best buy' 2001 attack test time 18 min 53 seconds.

Conforms to Thatcham insurance approval ( category 3) & is Sold Secure approved.

Hardened steel anti-pick anti-drill lock.

Easy to use, extremely strong & durable.

Unique feature - spins on the wheel when under attack making it impossible to gain any leverage to force the vehicle is own steering lock.

Pricey but afterall u get what u pay for, also its a visual detterant, theif sees this they will move on to the next car. Prob even get a 2nd hand one of ebay for half that.

The 206 is easy to get in to (especially the early ones). l watched a peugeot technician get in to one in less than 20 seconds with out any visible damage. Your only saving grace is that the 206 come as standard with a transponder immobiliser that are a lot more tricky to get round. So you may find that they can get in but are uinable to take your car. To be safe dont leave valuables in the car.
