A lot of people use them for taxis and they are ok as long as you get a diesel and of course one that has been regularly serviced and maintained

most modern cars are good if they have well treated serviced when required, 406 is a good workhorse and should be ideal for the taxi work

diesel are fantastic l heard.. my brother has one (petrol) great family car too.. go for a test drive.. they are good.for a french car

My husband had one for years. He was a builder, driving around London, and it never gave him a problem.

They are not bad for a Peugeot. Go for the 2L HDI. l know a few people that have owned these. They are excellent on fuel, which is very important when you're using it for cabbing. They are roomy and comfortable. The only down side is the timing belt is a real pain to change. It takes about 4 hours to do. Also the fuel pump in the tank tents to go wrong on this model. Apart from that they are good workhorses and easy to get parts for.
