I've just got an auto 206 for my wife - t reg - 70k on clock - the problems is when l put it in D or R, the idle drops and cuts out.It also cuts out when l stop in traffic.
l have seen on the web lots about coil pack, idle control valve and ECU replacing.Any ideas

It drives fine, once l manage to put it in D and has not cut out while i'm driving, just when l slow down

Please help???

Interesting problem, l would give a call to the dealers service department. Sometimes it is cheaper to get the right answer first.

idle control valve sounds right , the ecu will read data from all vehicle sensors to keep the engine from stalling, if the throttle sensor tells the car it needs more or less fuel at the wrong time it will affect the fuel timing and stall. good luck
