l need to replace the engine in my Pug and XSI is of this year and type seem hard to come by being broken.

l will bet that u can buy this same engine in Belgium, near the coast near Brugge. At the biggest Peugeot breaker in Western Europe. They have customers from France & Germany, & they speak English on the phone (with me anyway). The price might be LOWER than everything seems to be in the UK, & the savings could pay for the shipping to the UK.

You might also settle for the same engine as u now have, but with 8 valves instead of 16. Also consider a Citroen engine.

You will find the same engine in a Citroen Xantia.
