my peugot 307 is being recalled for safety to do with breaking unit can i ask for a refund purchased 11 mths

No it is just a recall, ask them for a goodwill gesture like a free car wash or petrol etc.

What do you want a refund for? Is the car really that bad?!
Do not worry about a recall, you do not have to pay anything, lots of the car manufacturers have had to recall calls, it was only last month that Vauxhall were having problems with the handbrakes on lots of their models.

A recall is just that, a recall for a faulty item on your car, however you may want to think about changing your car altogether as 307 is are not the most well built or reliable out there. No,mine is the same,307 sport.On mine the brakes pump as if there is air in the system.Be sure to book her in,and while there get a courtesy car and 24hr test drive in 308.

You would be due a refund if the dealer / Peugeot r unable to fix the fault. As a recall has been issued, there is an approved fix for the fault.

Recalls happen all the time.
One reason being that it can take many years for fault to come to light (as components age) & there is no way that the manufacturers can age components during development (wear can be accelerated, but not ageing).
Another reason is that the first components manufactured may do their job, but as the tools to make them wear faults may occur.
