I am considering buying a second hand one but have heard they can have problems with the roof mechanism. The car I've seen is £3000, 3 yrs old and 80,000 miles on the clock- this seems far too cheap!?
I've always driven 205s in the past so know that Peugeot is always a bit dodgy!Basically l want someone to tell me the pros and cons of a 206CC.

As you can see a poor condition one is worth £7000, all though you may need to adjust the variants slightley.

Too good to be true

l have never owned one but l have always loved the look of one.
but l want to tell u things before u buy
1) check wipers work properly as if not that needs whole new wiper motor
2) check tyres
3) check it all locks up right
4) runs ok
5) check it is service history

with the miles look to see if the numbers r in straight line if one number is lower or high than others than it has been tampered with.
check mirrors r not cracked or broke
and check the lights as u do not want a car that has dodgy lights

If u find some of these when next seeing the car than ask for a drop in price that way ur got some extra dosh to take it to a garage to get it checked
and make sure u ask for some petrol in it so u dont get half way down the road & break down

l bought a brand new 206cc 2litre in 2004. Leather interior, climate control, the works!

l adored it. What a car! Quick, beautiful, tons of power!

l traded it in only 18months after buying it. It had started to rattle, creak & make some very bizarre noises. l had also started to get some strange error messages on the computer.

As the warranty was up at 2 years l traded it, thinking that if something was to go wrong with the electronics or the roof it would be EXTREMELY costly.

l have always regretted it. l loved that car totally & utterly!
