Check out different tires, as well as different suspension parts (springs, struts, etc.). The 17 inch alloys probably come on the sports model, which is tuned for handling and grip, rather than ride comfort. l assume the 17 inch wheels come with lower-profile tires, switching those to a more comfortable, regular road tire would definately hep the comfort.

Wheels wo not make much difference (unless you've got low profile tyres).

Have you checked the tyre pressures - they may be a bit high. Failing that, a change of shocks might help.

Go and test drive another car, making sure the price is less than that of your current car, if the ride is softer and the car has better road handling then buy it !
Thats the cheapest best way to put your problem right

Why buy a car without test driving it ?

l think this is about the suspension. And if the drive is hard & uncomfortable it is probably got a sports suspension. Which will give u more control & round the bends & speed of the mark, but u pay for it with feeling every pothole. l had the same problem with my Honda Civic Sport. It is nothing to do with the size of ur wheels.

l guess the only thing u can actually do is get ur suspension changed to be soft instead of hard by ur mechanic. But that defeats the whole point of the car.. And might not be cheap. Plus, the car surely wo not be as safe as advertised because it is not designed to have a softer suspension. Basically, there is a reason for it having a hard suspension.

Did not u do a test drive?!?! If it really racks u off you're just gonna have to get a different car with a softer suspension (which is what l did eventually because it did rack me off after a year!!)

You need to change your size of wheels to something like 16 inch and any tyre depot will calculate the size of tyre you will need as to keep your milometer correct and remember if you change anything about your wheels you must inform your insurance company

Yeah yeah, blame it on the wheels.

Bisous :)
