Peugeot 206 problem pls help

Hiya, l hope u can help me. l have a peugeot 206 glx 1.4, its 5years old and l have owned it for about a year, and havent had any problems...until now! For a few weeks wen l start it in the morning it revs then dies (cuts out) or it starts then wen l move it chugs a bit and will cut out but now it does it anytime not just in the morning it was annoying but l wasnt majorly concerned but l was driving home this morning and the ignition diagnostic light came on and l carried on driving & the car semmed to lose power, l got home just in time cuz it felt like it was starting to chug and konk out, l have left it all day thinking its dead but l just started it and the lights off l drove for a bit & its fine, Im scared to go to far in case it happens again.Has any1 got any ideas what myt be wrong?

Erm u should drive to those mechanic and tell them those trouble

Sounds like you could have a bit of muck in your fuel. A mechanic will be able to give your fuel line a quick ''blow through'' to clear any debris. Best way to avoid this happening again is not to let your fuel tank get below 1/4 full.

l had this experience twice before with my PUG 1.4XT, but fortunately at start-up. It restarted & run properly.

however for the 3rd time, it happened about 30sec after ignition & then the engine failed with 1 or 2 piston rocking (no fire) before l hit on the road.

Garage diagnostics afterwards was a faulty ignition coil (the bank of black plastic casing right on top of the engine block concealing the spark-plugs). l have to replaced the whole thing & it is back to normal.
The mechanic said it is one of the easy pieces to fail & the local distributors got lots of them in stock!

so you'd better go to the mechanic to check things out.
Losing power in the middle of a run could be hazardous.
