bad earth.clean the contact that goes from the negative poll of the battery to the engine block

Diode pack in alternator is faulty, needs repair or replacement alternator. if you touch alternator when engine is cool you will probably find it is hot, because it is using the battery power.
Disconnect battery overnight to stop it going flat and get it tested in morning at garage, would advise you to avoid places like halfords and main dealer on grounds of you getting ripped off.

99.9% shure the alternator zenner diode disconnect and try then replace alternator

l had the same thing with my 206 and it was the alternator had it replaced no problem with battery light now.

its the alternator l have a similar problem with my car l turn the car off and the battery light comes on. l have gotta replace it too but l also need a starter motor at the min so i'm not having fun! lol
