hi there l have a peugeot 307 l have never had a problem with this car it starts on the button its only a year & half old but its never had to go to a garage apart from a service history there great runners but can be very juicy in petrol for around town driving but if ur travelling on motorways its a very good economical car & hardly uses any petrol hope this is helpful to u ps if ur not buying new check if the car has a service history if so see what things have had to be replaced & what repair work has been done on the car as this would tell u if the car has had lots of problems in the past hence meaning anything could go on ur car at anytime the less things in the service history the better ur car should be hope u find the right car for you

Hi, l have had Peugeot 206 for my first car, it was good as l was expecting. It is good because of the benefits you get from it:-
- Cheap insurance - Less cost for fuel - Cheap Road TAX - Never lets you down, l have had my P206 for about roughly 3 years and l never spend a penny for it, never let me down, always been happy with the car.
Hope that helped. Bye,

they are good reliable cars but when they go wrong they can be expensive to repair

My partner had a 207. They are expensive to repair and service. Their performance is not that great. You're better off getting a cheaper first car. If you get something reliable like a Toyota you will save heaps of money that you can put towards a better car when you're older. Also insurance is high because its French.

I've had Peugeot 206 Diesel for past 5 years the only money I've spent on it is the price of a service every 10,000 miles about £75 and it is never let me down

My father here in France used to drive Alfa Romeo is not sure if you have those where you live. Afterwards he went and bought Peugeot and he is been driving Peugeot is ever since. They are good cars from what my father tells me and plus my uncle drives one as well. l wanted to buy a used 206 but unfortunately l am too big for that type of car even with the seat all the way back:) lol Hope that helps.

Anyone that says they're crap knows nothing. All cars go wrong & have faults. I've got a 406 coupe, it is only had a few general wear & tear parts replaced in the 3 & 1/2 years I've owned it. l know of people with other cars who've spent an arm & a leg on parts in much less time than mine.

Peugeot diesels are OK, l would not touch a Peugeot petrol with someone else's. But with either, watch out for dodgy electrics and water leaks. If you can afford it, go for something Japanese (Toyota, Honda etc).

You're joking, right? Just take a look at ANY auto mechanic shop and count the number of broken Pugeots in the lot. The cars are famous for break-downs, shoddy build quality, rotten materials and even worse engineering. Do not they sell Fords, Toyotas or Hondas over there?
