my car,l just purchased does not seem to have an alarm... no flashing red lights or anything to tell me the alarm is set l thought all cars of this age come with imobilisers and alarms l have a key card ?????? can someone help, thanks!

They do not all have alarms, which can be a pain in the a*se when they go off at night. It will almost certainly have an immobiliser which is linked to the key or keycard. When you turn off the engine the immobiliser turns on, when you use your key/card you deactivate the immobiliser. Others can not. By the way, good engine choice, l have a C3 with the same engine. Brilliant to drive and economical.

Not all of the 206 is have alarms, it was an optional extra when the car was new. All of them have immobilisers though. The alarm is only really a deterrant anyway and a pain in the bum. My 206 has an alarm but l have turned the motion sensors off because it keeps going off when it shouldnt
