anyone know how to reset the service indicator ''spanner'' beside the mileage?...its supposed to be very simply but ive never done one....any ideas?
a mate has software to do it but ive been told there is a simpler way....

Your service engineer will reset it on completion of the service.Some have to be reset electronically,which can be expensive,especially the cam belt reset light,this can cost up to 50 pounds to reset.Other systems can have a reset button in the system.

with ignition switch off press and hold the trip meter button
still holding the button turn the ignition on, the display begins a 10 sec countdown. When it gets to 0 release the trip meter button and the spanner will go.
turn off ignition
turn on again check to see the right mileage to the next service in indicator.

With the ignition off, press & hold the little reset button between rev counter & temp gauge.
Switch ignition on & keep the button pressed for ten seconds - the display will show 0 and the spanner symbol will go out.
