l know its a common problem something to do with the sensors when seats are moved around or some rewiring?? l just wanted to know can you fix it your self

if not how much would it cost to repair

airbags are dangerous to work on even by someone who knows and are very high in price to repair

l had a Honda and the airbag light came on and stayed on after l swapped the fuse. May be worth checking all your fuses are in working order. Failing that, try calling a local garage.they may be helpful

Before going to a mechanic look under your seat, there should be a wire & clip (orange l think) make sure it is still connected> Sometimes these become loose causing the light to come on

Be very careful checking & tugging at wires - your 306 has seat belt tensioners, and if they go off, it is replacement parts time!
You are better off having the car plugged in for diagnostics, it will pinpoint the exact fault before you start fiddling!

Yes usually the connection under the seat, common problem with Peugeot, l had same trouble with my 406 just clean them up and it should put the light out again

Unplugging wires will register a fault with the command module. Has it got the key switch for passenger airbag in the end off the dashboard? If yes make sure this is turned to on then check the light again. If it stays on its time to go to your local garage for a diagnostics check.

do not attempt to do it yourself , as if you set the airbag off its highly expensive repair, its around £50/ £60 to turn it off in at the dealership. my advice would be ignore it, or it get it done properly

Seriously, Peugeot electrical faults are all too common so it could be any of those mentioned above. We had problems on our 206 and my cousin is 106 actually went up in flames due to an electrical fault. Luckily he was in his dorm - it was parked up.

Get it checked out properly - l do not trust Peugeot anymore and it needs checking to make sure you're safe.
