Hey My 206 1.1, gear gets slightly stuck when putting it into 2nd - rest of the gears are fine. Does any one know what it could be?

well milleage is 90:P

there are wee linkage rods on these cars that are very common, l would be 100% sure this is what needs replaced
ps the rods go between the gear stick and the gear box and if they become worn or break this causes problems when selecting gears

One thing to consider is the age of ur clutch. Gears WILL NOT SHIFT if the clutch plate cannot be disengaged from the flywheel surface.
When u build up speed to the point of needing 3rd, 4th, 5th gears, then everything goes a little better. But at a stop..1st gear is no problem, the clutch driven disc is not moving. At 2nd gear, both clutch & flywheel r moving & need to be fully disengaged before u can shift.

Your clutch driven plate (disc) thickness can be checked visually throung a small slot. Does ur 206 have 60-70-80 thousand miles on it? could be time for a replacement?

GEAR LINKAGE rods that control 2nd gear also contol other gear changes.
